Babysitters facilitators, Peoples Savers faciitators and First Aid Instructors are now invited to update to obtain the right to teach the new program, which contains 2 courses:
Babysitters (7-8 hours for 11-15 years old)
Stay Safe (5-6 hours for 9-13 years old).
In order to update, any active facilitator or instructor (valid certification), whether or not he has already taught Babysitters or People Savers must order the Youth Leader Update Course Package, available on shop.redcross.ca, in the Resources & Fees section, then in Instructor Ressources. You will have to open an account on your behalf (if not already done), then proceed to payment.
The Red Cross will then send you the package (participant booklet for each of the 2 courses, Youth Leader Guide and information for the online update) by purolator (you will be able to choose the shipping address). Using the PIN you have been assigned, the update must be done online. Once completed, it is important to save/print your proof and send it to us. You will then be allowed to teach the youth program for a period of 3 years, as long as you keep your Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (or higher) valid.
